Tradespeople’s FAQ — How Local Marketing, Websites & GMB Work

General / Onboarding

We can start work within 3–7 days once you sign and pay the setup fee. Simple demo sites can go live in 3–7 days; custom builds take longer. Start with our Free Consultation.

Logo (or we’ll make one), photos (or we’ll supply stock), business details, service list, target towns/postcodes, and access to Google My Business/hosting if available. We’ll send a short checklist.

Yes — we specialise in plumbers, electricians, cleaners, gardeners, roofers, carpenters and other local trades. We speak tradie language and focus on practical results.

We run a short discovery call, gather access (GMB, host, socials), complete a quick audit, set KPIs and a 30/60/90 day plan. Expect a short setup fee and a launch checklist.

Yes — we provide a short training session (video or live) covering how to update content, read basic reports, and use booking tools.

We advise a calm, professional response and can draft replies for you. If the review is false, we’ll help escalate to the platform to request removal.

Absolutely — we prefer real photos and client testimonials. If you don’t have them, we supply clean stock images and help gather reviews.

No — we don’t take customer calls for your jobs. We help set up booking, routing, and automation so leads go to you or your scheduler instantly.

We implement HTTPS, regular backups, security plugin/hardening, role-based access, and follow best practices for data protection.

Absolutely. We audit your current site and recommend quick fixes, conversion tweaks, or a simple demo replacement if it’s faster/cheaper to rebuild.

PRICING & CONTRACTS

Packages are fixed for clarity; custom work is quoted. We show set limits and overage rates so there are no surprises.

We recommend a 3‑month minimum for monthly services (some packages have a 6‑ or 12‑month minimum for SEO/ads). We also offer one-off or one-time service on selected promos. We’ll state the term clearly in every proposal.

Most monthly plans include a one-off setup fee (site setup, tracking, initial optimisation). We list this in the quote.

Leads & Expectations

Nobody can guarantee exact lead numbers. We set realistic targets based on your area, budget and package. Expect small, steady growth in months 1–3, stronger gains by month 4–6 with SEO/ads.

No agency can promise specific income or job counts. We promise to implement best-practice marketing and report on measurable improvements.

Tracking & reporting

We use call-tracking, UTM links, form tracking (Typeform) and CRM logging so every lead is tagged by source (GMB, website, ads, social).

  • Foundation Package: basic monthly check-in.
  • Growth Package: monthly report + short call.

Marketing & Results

Quick wins (GMB fixes, small site changes) can show more calls in 1–4 weeks. SEO and content results usually take 3–6 months. PPC gives immediate traffic but needs optimisation to be profitable.

For local trades we typically recommend starting with £300–£800/month ad spend for testing. Your monthly management fee is separate — ad spend is paid directly to Google/Facebook.

No. We use proven methods to improve visibility and leads, but search rankings and job volume depend on competition, seasonality and client responsiveness.

Lead Quality & Volume

We focus on improving the flow and quality of inbound leads (local, relevant). You can filter leads via qualification questions in the booking form or chat; we’ll help set that up.

To avoid overlap, we limit competing clients in the same small service radius. We’ll discuss exclusivity options in your proposal.

Operations & Support

Normal support: 24–48 business hours. Urgent site outages or live-ads issues: within 4 hours during business hours (subject to SLA in your contract).

Use our support email/CRM ticketing or your account portal. For small monthly updates, include them in the agreed monthly allowance; larger changes are quoted separately.

We don’t usually do weekend support in retainers, but we can offer emergency fixes at an agreed hourly rate.

Contracts, billing & ownership

Monthly retainer by direct debit/standing order, card, or bank transfer. Setup fees are charged once at project start.

Yes — most packages have a 30-day notice or a minimum term (e.g., 3 or 6 months). We’ll pause ads immediately on request; SEO work is best continued for meaningful results.

You do. Once the final invoice is paid and the project is delivered, all website files, logins (unless we host under management), and design assets are yours.

You own the content, designs, and data. If we host/manage the site, we’ll provide credentials on request. We retain anonymised performance data for reporting and improvement unless otherwise agreed.

We can host on your Hostinger account or ours (managed hosting). Hosting/maintenance fees are part of monthly packages if you choose managed hosting.

Legal & Compliance

Yes. We use consent-first capture, double opt-in for marketing, privacy notices on forms, and store consent evidence. We can sign a Data Processing Addendum (DPA) if needed.

Yes — we give monthly reports and can provide live access to dashboards (Analytics, Call Tracking, Ads) on request.

Typical KPIs: calls/messages from GMB, website leads, form submissions, booking completions, cost per lead (ads), organic rankings for local keywords, and conversion rate.

We avoid taking competing clients in a tight service radius. Exclusivity options are available for premium fees — we’ll propose what makes sense for your area.

Setup fees are usually non-refundable after work starts. Monthly retainers: cancel with agreed notice (typically 30 days) after any minimum term. We’ll outline refund/cancellation policy in the contract.

Any work outside the agreed monthly scope is quoted separately or billed at the agreed overage hourly rate. We’ll flag scope creep early and propose an amendment.

Yes — upgrades take effect at the next billing cycle. Downgrades typically require cooling/transition time to avoid loss of active campaigns; we’ll advise the best timing.

Sometimes. We deliver as a team and may use vetted freelancers for overflow work (copy, design). You’ll always get quality control from Zingoe Media and we remain the single point of contact.

Yes — GMB, hosting, domain, social logins, and ad accounts if applicable. We use secure access methods (shared credentials manager or temporary logins) and remove access on termination if requested.

We diagnose, report and propose corrective actions (landing page tweaks, creative changes, keyword refinements). If paid ads aren’t delivering, we pause or reallocate budget and continue testing.
